Yia Yia’s Green Vegetable Juice


1/2 apple
1 cup of spinach
1 cup of parsley, long stems remove
1 head romaine lettuce
5-6 leaves of kale
1 (1 inch) piece fresh Ginger
1/2 lemon juice
1/2 to 1 cup water (add more if needed)

In season for fall, spinach, parsley, romaine lettuce, kale, ginger, and lemons.

Apple is one of the most popular fruit, a good sour of fiber and vitamin C and they contain polyphenolds, which can have a numerous health benefit.

Spinach contains full of vitamins, essential nutrients, such as manganese, potassium, carotene, magnesium and folic acid plus spinach juice contains a lot of iron.

Romain Lettuce they say it’s the world’s healthiest food.  The cultivation of lettuce is thought to date back to at least 4500 BC. The ancient Greeks and Romans held lettuce in high regard both as a food and for its therapeutic medicinal properties. It has vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin C, Folate, Manganese, Iron and Potassium.

Kale is filled with so many nutrients, vitamins, folate and magnesium.

Ginger another the world’s healthiest foods.  It’s used for motion sickness, especially seasickness including dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and cold sweating.

A Green Kick!

3 leaves of lacinato kale
3 leaves collard greens
1 cucumber
1/4 lime
1/2 cup spinach
1/4 lime
1/2 cup spinach
1/4 bunch cilantro
1/4 jalapeno, with seeds ( or more, depending on how spicy you like it)
1/2 cup fresh or frozen pineapple

Juice kale, collard, cucumber and lime. In a blender, combine green juice, spinach, cilantro, jalapeno and pineapple.
Blend until smooth.
Serve 1

Cucumber juice

1 cucumber
1/4 bunch mint
1 green apple
1/4 lime
1/2 cup fresh young coconut water

Juice cucumber, mint, apple, lime and spinach. Add coconut water.
Serve 1

Breakfast Green Juice

2 cups spinach
1/2 cucumber
1/4 head of celery
1/2 bunch of celery
1/2 bunch of parsley
1 bunch of mint
1 tsp spirulina powder
3 carrots
2 apples
1/4 orange
1/4 lime juice
1/4 lemon juice
1/4 pineapple chucks

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Serves 3-4 Enjoy!
