Yeast Free Bread
I have been looking for a recipe yeast free bread for anyone that cannot have yeast in their menu. So many testing and now I got it. It takes 1 hour to cook, and 15 mins prep time. As they say ” Eat only foods that have been cooked by humans.” Did you know that food can change your mood! This bread is great with strawberry, or fig jam.
1 1/2 cup Chickpea flour
3/4 cup Almond flour
3/4 cup Flaxseed meal
1/4 cup Hemp Seeds
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 cup nondairy milk, unsweetened (I use the Hemp non-dairy beverage unsweetened)
1 cup water
1 Tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
A handful of sliced almonds toasted
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flours, hemp seeds, flaxseed meal, baking powder, soda and sea salt until well combined. Add the nondairy milk, water, and vinegar into the mix until absorbed and a thick batter is formed.
Pour the batter into a greased 9″ loaf pan, sprinkle the slice toasted seeds over the top, pressing the nuts gently into the dough, and allow to sit for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake for 60 minutes or until cooked all the way through use a knife or toothpick. Transfer to a cooking rack and allow to cool in pan. Remove from pan to cool completely before slicing. So good.
*Next time I make this bread, I am going to try it with 1/2 cup of chopped onions, and mint for flavor.
