Chocolate Smoothie
Couple years ago, I took an Herb Class in Mesa and they introduce me to organic Maca powder.
Maca powder is one the best defenses against stress which most of us need it, energetic, hormone balance and memory. Maca is grown high in the mountains of South America, mainly in high altitude regions of Peru.
The best way to kick start an amazing day is a breakfast smoothie. A chocolate lover, my favorite is a chocolate smoothie. When I lived in Africa for breakfast, I had a mango or papaya and chocolate.

Chocolate Smoothie
1 glass of organic Almond Milk
1 banana, peel the banana
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
1 avocado, split the avocado in half and scoop out the insides, discarding the large pit in the center
3-5 Medjool Dates, pitted
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/8 tsp sea salt
1 tbsp of Maca powder


Sprinkle Chia seeds (Benefit of Chia seeds, combat Diabetes, good fibre, Omega-3, stronger Teeth and Bones, Manganese not known nutrient, but it’s important for your bones, biotin and thiamin, phosphorus also for healthy bones and teeth, pack in protein, fights belly fat, it helps regulate appetite, sleep and improve mood and lastly according to the Cleveland Clinic, chia seeds have been shown to improve blood pressure in diabetics, and may also increase healthy cholesterol while lowering total, LDL, and triglyceride cholesterol. ) Chia seeds is a species of flowering plant in the mint family, Lamiaceae, native to central and southern Mexico and Guatemala.
Pour everything into your blender and blend until smooth! Sprinkle Chia seeds on top your Chocolate Smoothie with cut up bananas. So delicious!
