Cheese and fruit platter

I remember when we used to live in the Congo for diner my dad will cook for us an omelet served with different types of cheeses, fruits, like figs, dates, grapes, mangoes, papaya. crackers, carrots, nuts, salami…..  Simple and delicious.  No need to make an extravagant meal.

Did you know in France there are more than 1,000 different types of cheeses and 96% of French eat cheese?  The Greeks actually eat the most cheese, remember feta cheese or Halloumi cheese from Cyprus.

Try adding to your omelet, spinach, onions, and grated Parmesan cheese or feta cheese.  So good!

I love a cheese platter, serve with fresh or dry fruits and different types of nuts like walnuts, pistachios, and almonds.  Several of my favorite cheeses are Camembert, Feta, Gruyere, Queso Majorero, and Halloumi cheese from Cyprus.  Serve gruyère cheese with chocolate is mouthwatering.

A fruit platter with feta cheese and watermelon, it’s yummy!
